Community Care Day

Each fall, PPS organizes Project Community Care, a citywide volunteer initiative that beautifies schools.

Volunteers will be needed to pull weeds, spread mulch and bark chips, trim bushes, edge grass, clean up litter and complete a number of other tasks to make the school more welcoming for incoming students and the communities around them.

Please bring your own garden gloves and any of the following: rake, hoe, shovel, wheelbarrow or rolling trash can, electric or manual hedge trimmer, weed whackers, weeding tools, pruners, etc.  We also need a tall pruning ladder and a pushmower at the Fernwood campus.  Please make sure your tools are labeled!  Water and snacks will be provided, but bring your own if you can.

Special note re: Fernwood - Please refrain from parking in the NE 33rd Ave parking lot prior to 8 AM, as a dumpster will be delivered there in the morning.  If there are any cars there when the delivery is scheduled, they will not be able to deliver the dumpster.  Thanks.

Thanks for all you do to support our students and the BCS community!
